The name was inspired from the term itself: to rifle or pass through multiple items in search of something. In this case, the “items” represented rising artists and groups in Toronto. Rifle allows readers to discover local artists and stay up-to-date on career journeys and inspirations.
Bold typefaces were paired with high contrast through a primary colour palette to help deliver an edgy look and feel to help gain attraction at busy news stands. Legibility, along with a sense of sleekness makes the magazine approachable and enticing for the reader. Cover designs put all eyes on the artist/group to reflect their sense of passion and individuality.

Target Audience
This magazine concept was designed for aspiring musicians and lovers of new, trend-setting music for ages 18-25 of all genders in the city of Toronto.
